Hair donation hairdresser?

Hi all.
My daughter's about to cut her hair into a bob, which will mean approximately 10 inches of hair is to be chopped and we'd love to donate it.

Can anyone recommend a hairdresser in town who has dealt with charity hair donations?

But I thought I read somewhere that they required a minimum of 14" of hair to donate?
Might be mistaken tho!
