I desperately need a 19-20" seat, rigid wheelchair. Does anyone know where I could buy a used or ex demo one?
New prices start at around €1,500 for a basic one, so very expensive!

    I don't know.
You could look on eBay or ask in the various sellers about stock that is on clearance
They are unlikely to post it online, so a phone call might be needed.
    You're right though, very expensive!

im in the same boat,it got me thinking about used appliances.
There must be loads of items people have out grown or any multide of reasons

Could it be done on boards? a sticky thread?

Yes, tried EBay, done deal and ex-demo models in the UK. Good idea, I may try calling Irish stockists.
I honestly can't see where a simple rigid frame, some adjustable fixings and uphostry start at €1,500 when you can get a high end electric mobility scooter for the same price!
    Captured market eh?!

There are lots on EBay but in the UK. My main problem is me big bum! There are hardly any rigid chairs in my size!

    Hahaha 😀
I haven't been in touch with any places by phone yet or visited a company. I think the prices put me off. I will have to "man up" and start talking to people instead of relying on the internet! LOL

That is the same as the one I already have, I need one that doesn't fold. Thank you anyway
