I'm within range of the northern Ireland Freeview signal. I'm wondering does Freeview Play work in Ireland or are the catch up rights restricted like BBC i player and ITV player are? I'm assuming it requires fast internet connection to stream programmes that aren't live. Does anyone have experience of it?

I have no experience of this but I assume that if you live outside UK you'll be restricted in what you have access to. AFAIK a fast internet connection is essential for downloading programmes.
