Hi good people of boards, I was driving along today and the hood of my car flew up onto the windscreen and has smashed it right in, finding it hard to get a quote this time on a Saturday, anyone have an idea of the cost? This won't be going through insurance btw! Thanks

Prob in the 3-500 region for a decent quality one fitted, depends on car, if its heated etc though

Yes I think €250-300ish at a start would be cheapest fitted. When calling for quotes make sure you saw it's for cash and not an insurance job.

If you have class cover on your insurance it won't affect your no claims bonus to get it fixed if that's what you're worried about

Thanks all I've gotten a quote of €170 its a 00 Corolla I probably I should have mentioned! I'm sure I said this wouldn't be going through insurance but I'll double check with the company, they're ringing me to confirm the details Tuesday
