I see Paddys have a game for the Euros, picking goalscorers in first 9 games of the tournament to win 200K. What do you think the odds are of picking a player to score in 9 different matches, around 5000/1?

The favourites to score in any one match are usually around the 4/5 or 10/11 mark so assuming that 1/1 is actually closer to the true odds, picking 9 winners is around 500/1 (511/1 to be exact)

The competition looks decent enough in fairness. If no-one gets all 9 correct then that €200K is carried over to Round 2 while whoever gets the most correct in Round 1 wins €2,500

Bit of fun anyway and prizes not to be sniffed at

EDIT - having had a look at the first few fixtures, the favs in some matches are 2/1 and 9/4 so obviously that significantly increases the cumulative odds for 9 matches

My selections for the 1st round come to just under 4,800/1

To be fair, it's a decent chance to win a big amount of money, don't really see a catch, might have to split it if I jam all 9 but better chance of that than winning the lotto
