    1. Is Irish Water still charging?

    We will continue to issue bills to Irish Water customers for the 5th billing cycle. Billing is to be suspended once this bill cycle is complete.

    2. How can my Direct Debit be cancelled?

    To cancel a Direct Debit with Irish Water, we would ask that customers contact both ourselves and their bank to ensure that the Direct Debit is stopped on both sides. I can certainly look into this for you. Would you mind providing the following details via PM:

    - Name;
    - Address;
    - Contact Number; and
    - Confirmation that you are the account holder.

    3. Water Grant 2016

    The Water Conservation Grant is administered by the Department of Social Protection and details of the 2016 Water Conservation Grant will be announced in due course.

    4. Am I liable for the cost of water leaking while waiting for my First Fix Free Scheme repairs?

    If you have a leak which qualifies under the First Fix scheme and your water usage exceeds average usage, you will be billed at the capped charge. Any household that uses the public mains and/or sewer is determined as being a customer of Irish Water and is paying for services rendered during the past billing quarter.

    If you use more than the average use, due to a leak that qualifies under the First Fix scheme, you will be charged at the capped rate, as determined by the pricing plan set out by the CER. If you have received your First Fix Free Scheme letter or text, let us know here or alternatively you can call us on 1850 278 278.

    5. I can't get through to Irish Water via phone

    There are a number of ways to contact Irish Water. See here for find the way that suits you best.
