LNB or cabling problem?

When we moved into the house there was a dish up with a dual feed into the living room and a single feed into the bedroom from a quad LNB. I have a Sony TV in the living room with a built in satellite tuner using one of the 2 feeds (the other cable is unused) which gives FTA channels and the same in the bedroom room.

The picture on the TV downstairs was always a bit 'glitchy', in fact I got satellite.ie out in February to ensure the dish was aligned because I thought the wind might have moved it but the problem continued - I ignored it because we don't watch much broadcast TV. Last week I started getting a No Signal message on the TV in the living room. I re-scanned and no channels were found. I used an old Sky HD box to try and do a scan and the same thing - no channels are detected. The TV upstairs is working perfectly, it has not lost the signal at all. Would this be a cabling issue? Could there be a problem with the LNB where 2 feeds from it are broken but the one to the bedroom works correctly? Can that happen with LNBs?

    Anyone have any thoughts?

If they are using the same dish the first thing I would do is check that the connection is going in securely to the Skybox and then also check on the dish, could be worth actually twisting off and then reconnecting to be sure.

Yes, all feeds are coming off a quad lnb on the same dish. I've checked where the cable screws into the TV and that seems fine. Haven't checked the cable into the LNB though, the dish is on the chimney and I'm a bit worried about getting up there.

Remake the connections completely both ends and see if that helps.

Signal might not be 100% and tuner in your downstairs TV may be weaker than the upstairs.

Or it could be cable issue.

Yes, individual outputs can fail due either to internal fault or water ingress via a cracked LNB feedhorn cover. Had to replace my sister's LNB due to the latter causing a single output failure on a quad LNB.

Thanks. First thing to try is to remake the connections in the living room I guess. After that it'll mean getting the ladder out :(

I've a similar setup I.e. To with tuner built in and a separate recover on another tv. Sometimes I loose signal and to get it back I either turn on or off the receiver in the other room . I've a 80 cm dish with a quad lnb
Is there a possibility of voltage interference or grounding causing this issue
