Springboard course I want out of

Can anyone give me any of their experiences on this one. I have been out of a job for the past few months and I decided to start a springboard course part time. I thought cool, it wont cost me anything I'd love to do it. No problems getting on it but I'm very sorry I chose the course subject I did. I really didn't think about it properly, I find it very difficult to keep up with it. Its just way above my head and it has a lot of mathematical problems and problem solving and I am useless at it. I'm two months into my course now and I want out of it as it is depressing me at this stage. I cant keep up with it, this is just not for me at all.

My main number 1 concern is DSP having a problem with me quitting it? As much as I appreciate being able to do this course at no cost I wish I had chosen more wisely a subject I could manage better. I don't know what else to do about it as I'm effing miserable in this course, I would swap over to another springboard course in another subject if they would allow me but I just want out of this one.

12 - If I do not complete a Springboard+ course, will this affect my Social Protection payment?

Social Protection entitlements are not connected to the outcome of a Springboard+ course.

I don't know if you are allowed to switch courses but it seems from the above that DSP shouldn't have a problem with leaving the present course.

It shouldn't affect your payment becuase while you are on a Springboard course, you are still claiming jobseker's allowance accoring to citizensinformation.ie

You don't need to tell the welfare anything afaik.
But you could also go through the college and ask if they can help you get tutoring or something.

If you leave the course it will be the last one you're allowed do.
I've done 5 over the years, the 4th one was a mistake and a waste of time.
