When to wean lambs?

Hi Lads, looking for a bit of advice... When do you wean your lambs?

From reading previous posts and advice from Teagasc they say a certain number of weeks, is it then the number of weeks since the oldest or youngest lambs were born?

Our situation is that we have a hill flock (that are on lowland at the moment). 90% of the lambs are blackface/scotch and the late group are texel.
    We have two lambing groups.
The main group lambed over 3 weeks 16 Mar - 6 Apr
The late lambing group lambed over the following 2 weeks 7 - 20 Apr.

When should I wean the lambs?

    Thanks in advance, Nick.

Lowland here, but mine lambed around the same time. going to leave another 2-3 weeks. Some singles are grand and big, but doubles and late ones still look that bit small yet. I'm sure what their getting from the ewes is dropping fast though.

Same lambing dates here (17 March - 1 April about)

Will wean around 1st July, that'll be around the 14 weeks.

Have plenty grass, but fell into a trap before of thinking plenty grass so no rush weaning, and I think was the worse thing to do... Cos the ewes ate the grass on the lambs and I maybe kept em in too long cleaning down paddocks...
Better I think wean, give the lambs the best of grass an ewes clean out afterwards...
