Best Shampoo & Conditioner for Balayage?

I was looking for advice as to what is the best shampoo and conditioner for balayage?

I'm naturally a very dark brown but for the past few years I've been dying my hair a mix of brown and red. I decided to change hairdressers and went for balayage for a change. When I asked the stylist what to use on my hair, as I normally use Treseme, she said to stay away from them and Pantene but didn't offer up any names.

Could anyone help me out as this is the first time that I've got blonde in my hair and I would like to keep it looking in mint condition for as long as possible between appointments?

    Thanks in advance!

Loreal should be fine. Get the shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair and also a hair mask to use once a week. You can splash out on redken or kerastese in salons or online if you start to notice damage to your hair from going lighter but you can't go wrong with Loreal on a budget :-)

IMO, shampoos from coloured hair are for if you have a specific colour on top of your hair, for example a blonde who dyes their hair brown. I have (the remians) of balayage, so in my case its more that I've had colour stripped out at the ends to make it lighter, so a shampoo for coloured hair wouldnt do much for me.

If you have what I've described, go for a shampoo/conditioner range for dry/damaged hair, as lightened hair is fundamentally damaged.

I only use salon brands these days but would definitely stay away from Treseme/Pantene as I've heard bad things about both.

Personally Redken All Soft is my favorite shampoo ever, and when I was at the height of my blonde phase, it was the only thing keeping my hair in check.
