    Hey folks,

I'm going to run these a bit later than normal this year. I want shows like Person of Interest, Silicon Valley, The Americans and Game of Thrones to finish out before we start.

Aiming to start nominations in the last week of June.

So much TV watched this year. No idea where to start nominating. The Americans and Fargo are front runners though. Must check out person of interest some time.

Small suggestion - for variety's sake: Can the Best Single Episode of a TV show exclude any finales? Otherwise, there's a risk of a single episode winning in two categories. It might make give some better choices too.

I like it. Great idea. I'll update the rules on that thread now.

If you have voted a finale on Single Best Episode, you should still be able to edit to make new selections. If you can't edit, PM me and I'll do it for you.

Very pleased with the nominees that got through this year - couple of shows and actors that would get overlooked at any other awards ceremony in the world, so it's clear we've got good taste here on boards and are giving recognition to the right shows.

    Come on Leftovers!

Done. Difficult choices there (some of which is my own fault for nominating them!) and great to see the sort of variety you don't get elsewhere, such as no tired nominations for 'Modern Family'.

Best thing to come out of this: All the nominations here for 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' made me decide to check it out and it is great so far.

A few of us only discovered it recently enough actually - let us know what you think in the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend thread (which is currently pretty much spoiler free by the way).

I also thoroughly recommend Jane The Virgin once you've finished Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, they're completely different but also a very similar kind of comedy, if that makes any sense...

Was American Crime Story not nominated by anyone or just not included? Personally thought it has been the best show of the year so far.

Looks like it wasn't even mentioned - in Best Drama and Best Overall Show anyway....

    One for Leftovers.

    Huzzah!

No surprise that GoT won almost across the board.

    .

TBH I'm surprised that it won that one. Don't get me wrong very good show but how can it win most underrated while also being nominated for most of the big categories.

I was a little surprised there wasn't more love for Narcos in both the nominations and the results but yeah no surprise that GOTs leads the way followed by shows like Mr Robot.

It is underrated, though, in general. Critics reviews were through the roof this season but in terms of viewership and general buzz there was very little.

For me it actually surpassed GoT as best show of the year. The second season was one of the best I've ever seen.

I know this is a tiresome, circular argument but I voted the Leftovers as most overrated for the reasons you mentioned.

Couldn't get past the Pilot episode myself. Season 2 could be fantastic, but for me if getting through the very first episode of something is that much of a struggle (I tend to be a little more forgiving with sitcoms eg. Parks & Recreation) I'm usually not bothered ever trying to stick with it - I learned my lesson when I sat through the entire first season of True Detective waiting for it to get good because everyone raved about it so much only to wish I could get those hours of my life back and to this day I still don't get the appeal of that first season of True Detective.

Thanks for hosting the Awards again this year Mr E, I understand and appreciate how much work actually goes into doing something like this, so kudos as always.

I know it was a three way tie, but I'm so happy Jared was one of the winners here - he really is a fantastic character, so good to see him getting some recognition.
