Buying at Auction Uk - Viable?

    Hi.
Most posts I can see on this are fairly old so creating a new thread...

So basically am wondering if it would be worth going down the route of buying a car at auction in the UK/up North?
I am looking specifically for an S Line Audi A4 in Daytona grey.
It seems to be a rare enough colour and they only started shipping in this colour from 2012 onwards.
I cannot find anything for under €20k.

I don't know much about auction purchases but I'm wondering what would the chances be of locating one of these for about €17k all in?
Are these sort of savings typically possible buying at auction or would I be wasting my time?

    Thanks for any advice

I'd avoid auctions when your talking that amount of money.

    Have you looked on www.Cargiant.co.uk?

why so? seems alot of smaller dealers use the likes of bca etc to get cars these days. If it has all documented history etc, alot of ex lease cars in good nick with all reports included.
