Hi, ok when pulling out or changing lanes make sure to look over your shoulder all the time, and when driving look in your mirrors. Stay near or close to the speed limit,so if you are driving in an area where the speed limit is 50 be driving 48 to 50. do not be driving reaaly slow as you get marks for failure to progress. Make sure when stopping behind a car in traffic that you can see the back of the tyres of the car that you are stopped behind. Don't cross your hands when turning the wheel. Just really exaggerate looking in mirrors and over your shoulder. Best of luck. No coasting on the gears.

When moving off from stop, full blind spot check - look over your shoulder. When changing lanes, a quick shoulder (sideways) check. You will be marked if you look backwards whilst moving.

Do not exaggerate your mirror checks, you may be marked for taking too long therefore not looking where you are going, Also, the examiner must give you the benefit of the doubt if he is not sure whither you looked or not, exaggerate your checks and it will be blatantly obvious when you forget.

Drive at the speed limit - if safe, get briskly up to that speed.

Make clean gear changes, do not rest your foot on the clutch.

    Best of luck

    John

When you are finished doing the checks around the car and you sit in to start the driving part of the test. Before you start the engine take 2 seconds to take a slow deep breath and tell yourself you're going to give it your best shot.
