Help me pick a new motor!

    As the title says, I'm looking for a new motor,

    I'm in absolutely no panic to pick up anything which I great, but indecision is killing me..

    I've not got many requirements:

    Petrol powered,
    I don't like paying tax - let alone a lot of it so 2.5 max,
    Manual only, I don't want an auto and probably won't be convinced otherwise but if you insist, try and sway me :)
    Older stuff gives me the horn, so say 2003 max-ish

    Useable classics are encouraged, I'll get a daily hack if needs be..

    To give ye an idea I've been frothing over the following for the past while:

    an e34 - but can't find many for sale,
    1.8t vag (in many formats),
    caldina gtt (the one that's on dd)
    or possibly an older gt4 celica... scooby/legacy etc..

    I suppose I want something fun/powerful/classy or weird.. clean is good, but rough can be accepted too :pac:

    Budget is anywhere from €300-€4,000ish,

    What have you :p
