I passed my test today and have been struggling to find relevant literature about driving whilst waiting for a license/ndls appointment.I get the impression that until you have a physical license you're not actually meant to drive, however, as there is 2 week waiting list to even get seen by my local ndls centre, not to mention the wait for the licence from there - what's the story?
the RSA site has proven unhelpful and google is quite contradictory.

Go in very early before opening they may slot you in.

If you still have learner permit keep with you along with pass sheet.

You are correct technically you are not to drive but most if not all do.

They are more interested in none licence holders and driving alone on permit.

You will in most cases be fine.

    Put N plates up.
