Rear ball joint replacement cost (E39)?

I'm getting a squeaking from driver side rear, I think it's the ball joint. What's a typical (all-in) price for parts & service for this?

Is this the kind of thing you get both sides at the same time?

I'm in two minds whether to do this or sell needing the work done and go play Bangernomics roulette again

Balljoints are 30-50e a side, go for lemforder if you can, fitting is tricky but labour should be 80-100 quid at most

Not sure of the cost myself but I'd definitely be going Lemforder or Meyle-HD!

From a BMW indy:

Parts: OE quality €65 (spurious available for as little as €35) per side
Labour: €60-85 per side

So about €300 for both all in with the good parts. Cheaper not at all recommended.

300 is juicy enough tbh for that job i had it done along with a full fluid change and i supplied all the parts/fluids filters for sub 200e labour
