    hi all,

Looking for any advice on their experience with the above test? is it painful? is there many side effects or how long is recovery time etc? Been told I need to get one done to test for meningitis and was seeing if anyone has had any experience with the procedure.

    Thanks

It's one of the tests that generally, the thought of it is worse than the actual discomfort caused. I've had patients tell me that they found IV cannulas more painful.
