For Curran, FN, Vectra and anyone else in the know :pac:

Will be taking off my wheels soon for a full clean and protection. So what are the best products for the job and the actual steps to do a good job that will last? Cheers lads.

My process for my ones were Washed in and out, De-Tar, Iron removed, washed again and finally clayed. After this you have a few choices of sealants, I would go for CarPro's DLux as that is a ceramic coating for wheels and trim, should last for a long while! I belive Vectra has it on his 8 months now!

So basically treat them the same way as the body? Good stuff, I've heard good things about the dlux alright.

As FN has said, CarPro DLUX is a product that you should look at - its not a job you want to be doing repeatedly, so do it once, do it right and worry about it again in over a years time.

DLUX does need a bit of prep work though - same as the body work - wash, de-tar, de-iron, clay, re-wash, quick wipedown with Eraser, and then coat them!

Thanks lads, not looking forward to it. Full days work I'd say!

Yeah, a days work...but can you imagine doing it and putting on an inferior product and having to repeat it all again in 3 months!!
