Can I fish the Moy anywhere for free (or for a reasonable fee)?

(This may have been asked before)

I'm heading to Ballina for the weekend. Would like to do some salmon or trout fishing. Have never fished the Moy before. Is there anywhere that someone can go to and fish without having to join a club? (I have my salmon licence).

I'm staying in The Ice House, but don't know if they have any fishing rights. Doesn't look like it from their website.

    Appreciate any advice.

    Thanks.

    Hi slasher

It depends on the method your using, But in general the EMAA waters are good keep an eyes on this site https://moyfisher.wordpress.com/ it all depends on water really, but Emaa is a great water for around 25e, Try the Ridge pool see if they have some cancellations if ye have money! looking by the forecast june is going to a bad month..
