do you know what calories and strength amstel light is?
its hard to find reliable info online as they are both often so secretive about these things, and because recipes vary a lot between countries.
I see 3.5% mentioned, and this would result in it being low in calories.
It is ABV: 3.5%, 95 calories. I'd prefer a beer light in calories but 4.2% - 4.5% in ABV like Corona Light (has corn syrup). I think I might have found a gap in the market
if diluted down to 3.5% it would be 97kcal, so very similar while not calling itself light
I am pretty sure "light beer" is an unprotected meaningless term here, you could call the highest calorie beer on the market light beer if they wanted. Many try and avoid using the term too, for fear of macho men ignoring it. When miller light was released here years ago it was called miller pilsner. Just like you have pepsi max, 7up zero etc nowadays, as diet is seen as "wimmens drink".
This tesco one is 119kcal per 330ml and 4.8% so if diluted to 3.5% would be 87kcal per 330ml, so is less calories per unit alcohol than amstel light.
