Karcher power washer problem

Has had very little use over the years, maybe taken out once a year for last 6 years.

Using it today.. Was working fine and then I stopped it, when I put it back on the water is being pumped through alright but there is no "power" part of the power wash anymore. The higher gear that normally kicks in to make the water more powerful isn't there now.

Had been using it straight for about 20 mins without stopping.

Anyone any ideas what could be wrong?

in mine, which is not a Karcher, the hi pressure is invoked by adjusting the head at the front of the lance so maybe u pushed it back onto Lo.

The other possibility is if the water flow is not enough it may not engage Hi

I did try the first and no joy, I'll give it another run tomorrow to see if it was a drop in water pressure. Cheers

Do the Lidl attachments fit Karcher?
    Thanks

There's a filter that gets blocked with black "mank", follow the hose connection back to the power washer and where the hose connects there's a filter behind this, pull this out with a flat pliets to unwedge it you will see it's covered in "mank".

See pages 8 and 10 of this...

Mine of information AD ;) Cheers

Took it back out again and changed the nozzle from the Vario Power (as pictured) to the Spray Lance with Dirtblaster (as pictured number 15 in your link above on page 8) and it worked fine with the Dirtblaster, perhaps the Vario Power nozzle has given up the ghost. I'll clean the filter anyway.

I had one of those vario power nozzles go bad on me too. I took it apart and couldn't find anything obviously wrong with it, but buying a new one seemed to do the job.

The dirt blaster nozzles are great, especially for patio slabs etc, but can be a bit too powerful for some applications. I've taken masonry paint off walls with mine before now, so beware.

Yeh the dirt blaster nozzle sort of sprays in circles !

Perhaps the vario power nozzle has given up the ghost.
