Asking this for my sister who is due to fly to Marseilles on Saturday.

ATC Strike due from 3rd-5th June. There was supposed to be an update today from the French Unions but she can't find anything online.

She is flying Dublin-Marseilles with Aer Lingus on Saturday morning. Last week during the Strike Aer Lingus cancelled that flight but in March during another strike they did not.

She has asked Aer Lingus and they say that they won't make a decision until the day before at the earliest and potentially anytime until take-off at the latest.

If anyone has any updates I would appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

The airline wont make the decision until close to the date ie. the day before thus giving the situation every chance to be resolved so there is minimum disruption to the airline. My gut feeling is that this strike will go ahead although the exact impact and what flights will be cancelled are anyone's guess but there will be widespread disruption if it goes ahead, put it that way. Her and your only option really is to monitor the social media of the airline, keep an eye on her inbox for any updates from them and monitor the news. If you have SKY, channel 513 is the France 24 in English... just in fact caught a segment on there about the strike and nothing has changed and they never mentioned an update... Those are you options really, better then hanging out here pressing F5 and thinking someone will do the leg work for you ;)

    Thanks for the reply.

We both had searched online a fair bit yesterday before I posted this.

Both of us are on Facebook and I am on Boards but that is it as far as Social Media is concerned. She has PM'd Aer Lingus on FB but no reply. I have had a look at France 24 on the tv so thanks for that info - didn't even realise we had that channel.

From more searching online - apparently talks are still ongoing in relation to the ATC Strike so more news due later this evening.

BTW - I didn't know what the F5 button did until now ;)

No worries...I hope everything is resolved so that your sis gets to enjoy her holiday as planned or at least has to put up with minimal disruption... With Aer Lingus at least if things go south they will be proactive in facilitating her to get where she is going pretty quickly... in my own experience anyway they are pretty good like that...
