I passed my Nct Last week First Nct about a week after there was a noise coming from what sounded like the Wheel

Eventually was getting louder and screeching anyway 5 days later and she was making the noise whether i hit the brake or not

So i actually booked it in thinking it was the Brakes

But later today the noise Just went completely i tested braking to see if it would come back

would it have been a Stone or should i get the brakes looked at ?

    any help appreciated thanks.

Maybe there was a small stone caught in the pad? Is the disc scored? Maybe you reversed the car and it was moved out.

I wouldnt know were to look to see if it was scored this happened me before
This same thing happned me in February , and i went to the garage and the mechanic said you need brakes and when he did the service he told me that the back brakes were had a bit of pad still on them so he just did the front

have about 40,000 km up on the car

I would have them looked at.when your pads get down really low they start to screech but what can happen is after a certain point the screech can go just because the two surfaces have worn into each other or one of the two materials have changed.better safe than sorry.

Get the brakes looked at anyway.
