It's obvious that my views do not fit in with the boards ethos.
The internet is a big place plenty of room for us all.

I find the prevailing view points on here are way out of step with the reality on the street.

Boards is what it is and it's not for me or many others I suspect.
Tried to close my account 4 times with no success.

My opinions are what they are and they don't fit in here I am not going to change my views and boards is what it is so please feel free to close my account.

Best for all around no big deal.:)

It's not all about me either I am just pointing out that many on the net see boards as a very narrow set of opinions.
I am also not playing the victim I grew up in a time before the interwebs.

I am just trying to give a bit of friendly parting advice.

When your used to being in social or professional situations ( or cyber space scenarios) where nobody argues with you because everybody is on the same page as you ( and in a lot of cases you are greatly admired and your opinion respected) then it can come as a great shock to find yourself in an environment where your politics and your opinion are not admired, or respected , and are, in fact, derided and pretty much treated with contempt.

The only reasons I could imagine would be that you're a troll (though not a good one as a thread like this is transparently trollish if it's the work of a real troll: amateurish stuff), or you desperately crave attention but can only get negative attention for having hateful beliefs. Or you believe that you only deserve negative attention.

We can't close your account for you; you'll have to close it yourself. If you need help with that, try the Help Desk forum.

Sorry that boards isn't for you but there's no 'ethos' as you claim as far as I know. Only differing opinions and basic forum rules set out in the forum charters such as no trolling, sexism, racism etc. in the AH one.
