At the end of the day you'll be getting the same skills. I'm currently studying computer systems in UL and I love it. The only advantage to studying here is you'll get better facilities and a more recognized name on your degree, as ignorant as that sounds.

Shouldn't make a difference in the long run. A friend of mine did his masters in something computer graphics related in UCD and told me he completed his bachelor's in software development in LIT; he couldn't recommend it enough. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe LIT are more about tailoring their course to industry needs, whereas UL is a traditional computer science course that has a lot more theory in it.
