    Hi,

I'm looking to install a back to wall toilet pan with a concealed cistern (not wall hung which would need a frame) on the other side of a stud wall with 14" between the studs. Is that possible? The side that the cistern would be on would be in the crawl space of a former which has insulation but how would that be for freezing protection?

When you say concealed, don't forget you'll need to leave access to it for maintenance. I've seen some beauties where you'd have to break open the wall to replace a filler valve or siphon. I actually saw one fully tiled over.

Luckily enough, the access hatch to the crawl space is right beside where I hope to put the cistern (if it's possible to do so).
