If the insane 30kph limit is imposed in Dublin.. People will be constantly shunting and shuffling between 1st and 2nd gear to maintain that stupid limit if imposed on a wide scale basis. The wackos are talking about imposing it in the ''inner city'', which could mean everywhere inside the M50 as the boundary of the ''inner city'' isn't clearly defined anywhere afaik.

It is a vague term, open to interpretation. No big deal though, the eco hipsters will try to include everywhere else under the terms ''suburban'' and ''residential''.

If you can't drive a car at 30km/h without doing your clutch you should walk or cycle.

I doubt during rush hour that many people inside the M50 are exceeding 30 and are doing much more clutch work.

If have to constantly shift and clutch at those speeds, money might be better spent on driving lessons which will save you money in the long run from burning your clutch.

I'm pretty sure Dubs have learned by now how to drive in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
