New Monitors

Was looking into picking up two new monitor's as my current ones are showing their age and are a little beat up. Not really sure if I want 1080 or 1440. Currently I'm looking at refurb units on eBay because of the lower price, or else one of the A-grade Korean monitors (although I'm not 100% what the story is with them when it comes to VAT and all that stuff)

Anyone have any advice they might be able to lend?

Also might want to mention that 144Hz isn't something I'm really that after. Willing to overclock a 60Hz one, but not really looking to pay more for 144.
