Clear fluid leaking from diesel C4 Grand Picasso

Hi, we bought a 2010 C4 Grand Picasso last week and yesterday a leak started. It is clear but has a oily sheen, but I'm not sure where it's coming from. I thought is might be brake fluid, but I checked the filler and that has an orange hue. Coolant seems most likely, levels haven't dropped visibly since yesterday. It drips after driving but then seems to stop.

There is also a clear hose hanging from the engine, which looks to me like an overflow pipe, it's on the driver side. I have some pictures I'll try to put up. I'll contract the dealt tomorrow but he's a fair drive away so want to try to pin down the problem.

I topped up the washer fluid yesterday too and it does seem to have dropped slightly, but it's blue.

    Any suggestions?

Did you have the aircon on? It'll be the drain off of the condensate. It's normal.

Did it dry up after a while or stain like oil does?

It's definitely not condensate from the air conditioning? That can pool under the engine if you've been using the air con and then park.

Edit:great minds think alike Guy. 😊

No, it left a stain, noticed it first around 3pm yesterday, stains still there today.

I wonder though, what path would it take, could condensate be picking up grease along the way? While there is an odour from it, there's no strong taste to it. Yesterday was longest trip so far, about 30 mins, everything else were short 10 minute trips. Aircon was on more than before though. Is the pipe dangling normal, you can see it on left side of first picture.

Well if you are worried just take it to the nearest garage. They won't charge you if you ask them to check it out. If it's something bad they will be able to tell you how much it will cost to fix :)

Much easier to see it when it's up on the lift.

Just mop it up if you have any pets...

No pets, but my children can do some pretty dumb things... I'll try to get it to a garage before they or the feral cat population is wiped out.

This evening I found a drop of engine oil had leaked, so my working theory is that there's a minor oil leak which has let enough residue for aircon condensate to then pick up a film. The coolant reservoir hasn't visibly dropped at all.
