Does the self cleaning work well? Does it clean the glass door also?That's the part I find difficult to clean.

If they actually do their job properly, yes. Unless they actually reach 500 celsius or more, they aren't going to do the job properly.

You do have to clean the ash out/off surfaces, but that is not hard.
