Buying UK Car - Funny MOT?

    I'm thinking of buying a car which is on UK plates but not too sure about the MOT.
    Attached is the MOT from https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ (great service)
    Whats strikes me as funny is;
      Between Jan-14 and Jan-15, 30k miles were put on the car!!!
      Then it failed the MOt twice with a number items.
      Over the 3 months it was being fixed for the MOT it only had 4 miles put on the clock!!! Seems a bit odd, maybe a work car that was taken off the road for a few months

    Car tax expired Sep-15 and MOT expired March-16.
    Seems odd to me, any advice?

    not odd at all. In Ireland no doubt the car would have been still in use despite failing, in the UK it's very likely the car would have been taken off the road until repaired. There's a different mindset generally in the UK

    (it's only 2 months btw)

    Doesnt seem odd to me at all.

    If someone was trying to fake mileage they would add a few more miles to avert suspicion. The car failed its MOT and was most likely not on the road being used while it was being repaired.
