the first at Navan is named after a girl who passed away who Ger Lyons was very good to. He has the second fav, Medicine Jack, whos third well backed on debut reads well.

Really like Whatdoesthefoxsay in the last at Cartmel tomorrow at 10/1. Last a winner off of 109, tomorrow it goes at 107. Interesting step up in trip for a horse whose breeding suggests that this shouldn't be a problem. Still only 7 with a 5lb claimer on board, I reckon this is the most proven horse that's out tomorrow (not totally disgraced in a class 2 just two runs ago) and has an excellent e/w chance.

Watched the 10/1 on Lagnaore disappear a few days ago in the antepost betting. Got 8/1 earlier this evening. This is the only horse of Tony's that looks in any decent sort of shape and although his form has been fairly horrific, I think it's worth a shout at a decent price. Favourite Journey has some fantastic form though, so need this one to stumble for mine to have a chance.

I keep giving you guys Dinkum Diamond and each time I do it delivers, placing at monster prices. I know one of the connections and although he can't make it out tomorrow, he informs me that the horse is as fit and game as ever. No chance at winning, they still reckon it has a chance of running into a place. This race is a class higher than the last run, so only a small each way for me here at 40/1. Still, would love to see it win for the owner, it always gives 100% for a race.

Already a bit of early dough for Miracle Of Medinah in the 2:50, I have taken 8/1 on this tomorrow. Not in the winners enclosure for 2.5 years, this has been sliding down the ratings to a workable mark. Just 3/4s of a link from the winner over course and distance a few runs back, if it replicates that form it's well in the mix.

Surewecan 8/1 3.30 Catterick very surprised Dandy Nicholls didn't bother entering a horse for his son to ride today.waarif 20/1 5.55 Navan was second choice on debut ran a blinder out the back under hands/heels.Novelty Seeker 10/1 Chester 5.10.Not well drawn but ran very well lto at Chester and will be spot on for this. From notes re Charlie Longsdon " stable is full of proper summer ground horses and expect huge improvement when we get the summer ground".Two runners at Ffos Las Hannibal the Great 9/1 and Tullow Tonic 4/1.

Always fancied Buratino a sprinter so will back him in the Haydock 3:45 with a probably cover bet on Gifted Master who I'm also very fond of. Seeyouallincoppers is racing in the Navan 3:40 off a mark which is a fraction of his hurdles mark so will throw something on him too. Good luck all

Have had a phone call earlier to back Elliotts horse Eshtiaal in the 5:00 Cartmel. No price really but have stuck him in a bet with PC's horse above

Few I like at decent prices.

Prices may be a bit different now

    Each Way Bets:

    Gambit 13/2 4:55 Haydock ★★★

This horse is highly thought of in the Dascombe yard. It’s one we got word for recently. He was an impressive winner of a 1 mile 4f maiden at Wolverhampton. Didn't have much to beat that day but it was the way he won which took the eye. Ran very disappointingly in decent 1 mile 2f handicap at Sandown last time out. Reportedly lost a shoe and the soft ground that day did not help. Gershwin who finished not far in front of him came out and hacked up recently. Gambit was dropped 3lb for that run and now gets into this 0-85 handicap. This race is less demanding and the ground is somewhat better. Given that the connections were thinking about going for the derby with this horse once, you would think he would be up to winning a handicap like this. Hast to prove himself after that last run but if on a going day, could prove to be very tough to beat. There has been money for the horse too which is a good sign.

    Be Perfect 9/1 3:25 Chester ★★

Hasn’t been his best since his last win which came last August but did run it’s best race for a while when fourth to Sir Chauvelin at Hamilton last time out. Has a 10lb pull in the weights now with that one. This horse’s last run at this track came when 2nd to Steve Rogers last September. That’s the best form on show here and if Be Perfect can run to that level again he’d go very close to winning this. He’s also 5lb lower now than when only getting pipped on the line then. Course form is very important around here and front runners also have a great record. Be Perfect ticks all those boxes and stall four is decent for this front runner. Can’t believe how good of a price he is and is tremendous each way value. He could steal this from the front.

    Sing For Me 14/1 4:50 Navan ★★

We’ve tipped this one up in the past. It ran a cracking race on debut in a very hot maiden when 6th behind Alice Springs who went on to win the Breeders Cup Juvenile. It’s next run also came in a decent maiden won by Now or Never who was placed in the Irish 1000 Guineas. Given that she didn’t win on either of those starts I’m guessing the connections of this well bred horse decided to keep her for handicaps this season and hope that she progressed into a group class filly. She ran down the field on her debut this season but that could have been to get a nice mark. Her most recent run was an eye catching one. She was 4th in a decent maiden at at this course. She was putting in her best work late on that day and was tenderly ridden. The 2nd horse Earring, hacked up a few days ago, the 3rd horse has since been 2nd in a decent race and the horse that finished 8l behind Sing For Me in 7th, won a handicap at Hamilton the other day. So the form of Sing For Me maiden’s is quite strong and I think she could be the forgotten horse by some in this big field. The yard is in great form and she has a nice rating. She’s also taking on horses of her same age. Her last 3 runs have come on soft to heavy. This change to good ground could well be the making of her. The step up in trip will also help. 3 of her brothers won over this trip. It’s an open race with 25 runners but I really do fancy her.

    Rightdownthemiddle 25/1 4:15 Navan ★

Quite a classy sort on his day. Rated 134 over fences and beat Rock The World in a top novice chase at Listowel last September. Struggled on return to action at Wexford but should strip much fitter for that and looks very well handicapped on his best form. The piece of form that stands out with this one is his 2nd to Silver Concorde in a maiden at this track. Silver Concorde is a decent horse and is now rated 97 on the flat. Rightdownthemiddle was beaten only 3 quarters of a length that day. That might of been a few seasons back but given that this one is only rated 62, you would think there would be a handicap like this in him. His 6th to Giant Redwood in a maiden at this course last season is also a decent run. This is his handicap debut today and I think he could be staying on late for a place. Alamgiyr looks the one to beat based on its recent 2nd to La Vagabond. Noble King is a reserve. It would be interesting if he were to get into the race. He’s clearly been stopped with a handicap in mind. His jockey was banned last time out for not trying and the trainer Tony Martin fined. If he gets in and the money comes for him, watch out. I do think though he’ll be kept for Galway.

Milos lass in same race opened at 33/1 and now 11/2. Start delayed due to loose horse

Edit. Thank you. Took it and jolled up to 15/8. Cheers

Ger Lyons "I have nothing to challenge for group 1 but it looks like the scene in Ireland is ordinary this year. My 2yr olds are forward but look way short of group class but time will tell".(he has no beast).By far in a distance the best 2yr old I've seen this year is Caravaggio have taken 6/1,5/1 4/1 for the Coventry at Royal Ascot for a real few bob.Coolmore need a mile stallion not the useless Derby Nh sires that same will produce.I will be backing Osgood tomorrow at Fontwell I owned a leg years ago and he rattles of fast ground.
