Thick country fella presenting 2fm drive

    Who was the person with a thick country accent who was presenting 2fm drivetime tonight ? He said this wonderful here in every link. How did he get on the national broadcaster ?

    If you're referring to Fergal Darcy, then while he does have a country accent, it's very clear and concise and far from being thick. Certainly a nice change from the somnolent, monotonous drone of some of the accents you hear on 2fm and other Dublin music stations.

    I think he's referring to Chris (Greene?).

    Ah, you're correct. My apologies.

    Though the same applies to Chris Greene.

    Jesus I wouldn't consider Chris Greener to have a thick country accent at all! I'd have considered it quite neutral.
