Paypal and Irish accounts

    Hello

    I previously had a paypal account when I lived in the UK

    Now I am back I have tried to add my new Irish debit card to the account but it will not accept that I no longer live in the UK

    I have tried setting up a new account here to and it wants a UK postcode no matter what I do.

    What the hell is all this about considering they have offices in Ireland?

    I'm trying to sell something on ebay but im worried I wont be able to get paid

    Any help?

    Unless they change over the last few months you cannot change country, what you need to do is close account and open a new account, or you could just open a new Irish account.

    Make sure the url is correct https://www.paypal.com/ie with /ie after the .com maybe clear your cache or use another browser.

    I tested now and was able to register te account using 22 as postcode.

    Have you tried using the Eircode?

    Tried the eircode and it wouldnt accept it.

    Just did like you said and opened a new account and it seems to be working OK.
    Bit silly you cant just change!

    Hiya you can change. I had always listed my items in sterling on ebay uk. Handy having sterling in my paypal account. Then when i tried to be billed my ebay fees in sterling i had to have a uk address.

    So I had to fill in details online and technically I'm registered in UK now even though I post stuff from Ireland. I used my parcel motel address.
