If a couple are on jobseekers allowance and the person who is the qualified adult wants to do a scheme now that they are one year unemployed ,are the allowed to as they have not been required to sign ,and if the are allowed to do it would they get the full scheme amount,
ie at minute 188 +124 for qualified adult ,,would it be 188 +210 if they do scheme ,,or would the person claiming loose some of their 188.
If not allowed ,how can the correct it for future if still unemployed 1 yr down the line ,,they have few skills so want to gain some experince on a scheme or something.
    thanks in advance

AFAIK they would have to have a jobseekers claim in their own right to apply for a CE scheme. As a couple they could always have made separate claims for jobseekers but the same amount would come into the household. In order to be eligible for CE scheme they will need to make a claim of their own but they will need to be available and looking for full time work and they will also be called by the activation team who will discuss courses/job prospects/cvs etc

thats what i thought,,,so if they made a claim ,the 312 would be 156 each so then the person on ce scheme would go up to 210 approx,am i correct ,

or would it still just be 22.50 extra on the 312

Oh I would think they would need to have 312 in their own right on a claim. At the end of the day they werent a jobseeker they were an ADA on partners/spouses claim.

In order to be eligible for a ce scheme you have to have a claim for 12 months e.g. 312 days... therefore the adult dependant would need to have a claim in their own right for 312 days to qualify for a ce scheme.

ah yea i got that, i was thinking if the original claimant who was already well within the 12 months did the ce /tus scheme ,and the couple both have a seperate claim ,how much extra would they be entiteled too ?

How is 12 months/a year 312 days? Genuine question!

They would just be entitled to €20 more per week.

Gross pay less prsi, minus €60 then get 60% of the remainder that will be there means, subtract from €312
