Hi. Sorry to rake up an old thread but 2 years on looking for 2 new tyres. 215/55 R16. I'd do approx 12k km per year, generally city driving. Have the following prices, could anybody point me in the right direction please?
Proteam €86 each Fastfit, Bridgestone €131 each Fastfit, Barum €93 each from main dealer, Goodyear €139 each from main dealer. I was hoping to use Fastfit or Ashley ford as I have a one4all voucher I can use! I did kind of have a limit of 250 for 2 in mind but would the cheaper ones be sufficient for my needs?
    Thanks

Of those, get the Bridgestone or Goodyears. The extra few quid could make all the difference one day, the problem is that you just don't know when you might need them.

Just putting it out there, you can get Falken Ziex for €85 plus fitting (€10 in a lot of places) put them on the i30 a few weeks ago and they're very grippy.

Vredestein Sportrac, another good tyre, €100 plus fitting.

Barum are fine - fitted to a huuuge amount of Fleet cars (including a lot of ours) so I've driven loads of different cars with them on.

You can tell they aren't Conti's, but they don't slip slide all over the place in the wet or damp. Barum are Conti's mid range brand.
