    Hi Guys

I'm sure this is an easy question for most of you but I want to be sure.

I have started to do a lot of business miles in a diesel car and want to know if vat on diesel is a deductible input on my vat return.

I'm a bit hazy on this. I know vat on petrol is not allowed and I know vat on diesel on commercial vehicles is allowed but im just not sure whether vat on diesel for passenger cars is allowable. It doesnt seem to be clearly stated anywhere.

    Thanks in advance

    SS

Yes the business portion of the diesel expense is allowable on passenger cars.
