    Miles

There's more to this than just the mileage on the car. If it was serviced every 10,000 miles, and had all essential work done for the mileage it is at it could be a runner. But we know nothing of this car.

I think I would be wary about a small engined Corsa of all things at that mileage. But I'm basing that on nothing really.

Seems high but at least you know its genuine, do your research on the web for any issues with them cars...

Has it has a full service history? Get the car checked out by a reputable mechanic also before handing over money...

    Vauxhall or Opel?

    Is it a van?

That seems like ex-rental mileage. Who'd be doing 35,000km+ a year in a 1.3 Corsa?

We had one with a rep, for a very mean company.

Went out on the 7th Jan 2009 and we sold it on the 25th October 2012 with 215,776km on the clock!

Unfortunately, all the history is on the old system, but I'm pretty sure it spend about 50% of it's time in a garage in the last 3 or 4 months of it's life, and came off the road earlier than it should have done.

A Corsa wouldn't be renouned for such high mileage, would need a full service history and also a year plus NCT on it. Try to drive it over speed bumps or near kerbing to see what kind of feedback you get from the suspension.

Also your buying at those miles to drive to the ground, don't expect to be ever able to sell it, consider your driving it until it dies in to your equation.

You'd want to be getting it for buttons, it's a lot of milage on such a small call. It's probably not worth the headache that will come with it.

It seems a bit strange for the car to be in miles. Cars from 2005 should be in Kms. Or is it actually 278,000 Kms?

As it's an Opel, it shouldn't be an import from the UK. If it was it would be a Vauxhall.

Seems a bit oddball to me.

I'd hate to be the individual(s) who had to drive that sort of mileage in a Corsa type car. With that amount of driving you would want the superior comfort and refinement of a bigger car.

Opel and no a 1.3 car 3 door, they want 3,500 for it, I'm also looking at a 1.4 Ford Focus with only 70,000 on it, 2005 for 3,950. So I think the focus sounds like a much better option.

I wouldn't spend that on a corsa with what it's covered

Wouldn't be 100% if it came from the UK, and it says 171,000 miles on it. I messaged them and said its at 175 thousand now as they still drive it. So it would be at 200,000 in a few weeks or months. We're as I have another option to purchase a 1.4 Ford Focus for only an extra couple of hundred with only 70,000miles on it. 2005 version 5 door were as the Corsa is only a 3 door.

Don't think I'm going to go ahead with it myself, as I have an option to purchase a 2005 1.4 Ford Focus with only 70miles on it for an extra couple of hundred, sounds like a much better option to go for

If a 2005 car only has 70 miles on it from new you may encounter a separate set of issues.

It is petrol though so most likely less issues but if 2005 focus is mk2, it will be slow due to weight.

    OP,

Those sounds like dealer prices, I would look at private sales with that kind of budget if you have someone who can check the cars for you.

4k for an 11 year old petrol Focus is pricy imo.
