So, in the Euro shop today looking for a USB lead, saw these 30 LED MR16 downlighers for €1.50, they're for low voltage household lights, 12V.

    "Wow €1.50" is right!

    Idea.

    Smashy smashy

    Some hot glue later

The pins of the old housing fit exactly into the plug on the loom.

I picked up a retrofit one for my Fiat a while back directly from them. Much better and I can actually see inside the car at night!

Nah, but might give others ideas on how to do the main interior light. I've been meaning to sort my boot light. Would get more light out of a match. Any final pic of the inside of yours?

Had a look there. Unreal light! Crappy phone camera isn't really picking it up so you'll have to take my word for it :)

I like a nice dim festoon. More romantic.

Where did you get that from? I took apart one of the front LED spotlights you can get in Halfords and pretty much wound the cables onto the bulb points! That one looks a lot nicer! (and less duct-tapey!)
