I think the inside where you insert the sim is damaged because can't seem to get the tray in fully.

I gave the phone to my girlfriend and she tried getting her card in not happening!

Even went back and tried my own sim again same problem. So I went and bought replacement sim tray it goes straight in but at very end it stops and won't go any further.

Anyone any ideas where I could get this fixed without having to unroot it etc?

Unrooting it wont solve the problem as it sounds like a hardware problem.sounds obvious but have you checked theirs no fluff or other foreign body in the drawer? Mabey give it a blow with a can of compressed air?

The reason I mentioned the unrooting thing was because htc themselves I imagine won't touch it in that condition. I had a look inside with torch can't see much and I blowed inside.
