NO NEED TO NAME THE SOCIAL SITE.

    Had you outgrown it?
Had the rest of your friends left it?
    Did the site turn sheyt?
    You had'nt the time?

Why is poll public? This means people's usernames will be registered.

Did'nt think about it originally, but see what you mean biko. :o Don't know how to change poll now though.

No worries, I've made it "secret" :)
If someone wants to elaborate on what site they left and why, they can post below. As long as things don't get personal I don't mind.

One you haven't mentioned in your poll but is 'real' at least for me, and that is where a social media site (or any other service) have changed their T&C(s), permissions, legal bits, and have done so universally to something that I perceive as being unfair or not that I had signed up to/for. Such social media services expectation that they can implement this universally and without consultation is in my world just a plain abuse of trust. I wouldn't even have minded so much if they prevented me from using said services until such time as I had given my consent as then I would have had to make an informed choice, but then again if they did that wide scale they wouldn't have a user base so chances are very slim i'd guess.

I wouldn't say I've left but I've drifted away from Facebook and lately Instagram - removing chronological order annoys the sh*t out of me. I hate having to dig for what I want to see, and despite what Zuckerberg thinks, I want to see things in chronological order.

I abandoned my profile on the rebooted site MySpace after 5 minutes. There's nothing put there by me anyway. Too restrictive and the specifications for uploading images and video are too rigid. I was on vimeo for 2 years, but the great things that vimeo say are just around the corner are well...

I've largely left Facebook. Too much "advertising" and corporate pages, combined with numerous minion pictures from mindless "friends". No value left in the platform anymore.

The change to the Instagram algorithm initially really annoyed me, but I have Flow app on my iPad and that doesn't apply the algorithm. I started "liking" a lot more stuff, and that has filtered back into the algorithmic view, which has improved a lot now.
