The one that would get me there the cheapest, at the best times and the fastest, in order of descending priority.

If you're travelling steerage class then they're pretty much all the same anyway.

I am about to do the trip BNE BKK DUB return.

The BNE BKK leg is Thai in Cattle Class. They are good and have flown them before.

The next leg is Finnair and that will be Business. Have flown them last year in Business too. Impressed. The lounge in HEL is very nice. Pity it's only an hour stop.

As said before, most Cattle Class seats are much the same unless you go to below par airlines. KLM, Emirates & Etihad are all good.

Had a bad experience with KLM once. The first leg of the trip arrived late into Amsterdam from Dublin on a code share. So they bumped us off the long haul as they didn't expect us to make it, even though we were at the gate in time for boarding. They made us wait 11 hours for a later flight.

We've used Etihad since then, at least you have a good bit of the journey over if there is a delay.

Last time i checked, Emirates gave 30KG Luggage and Etihad were 20KG, otherwise both are the same really, go for the cheapest/shortest of the three,

Another vote for finnair. They have a great service to Asia. Second up would be KLM as schipol is a great airport to transit.

Ignoring price(and airmiles), I am not a fan of flying emirates / etihad to east Asia unless you are stopping off in Abu Dhabi / Dubai as its a case of board a large plane, take a long flight, disembark large plane, sit around with thousands of other zombies in a packed terminal who are all tired then board another large plane for another long flight. I prefer the short hop on a small plane then 1 single long flight.

But the emirates / etihad option is sometimes half the price
