Turned down two jobs for this job

Started a job few weeks ago. Was also offered 2 other jobs that week, one which was few minutes from me also. Turned down at the time, however they are still looking for that position to be filled. Is it rude or bad to leave the job now for that one? There has been messing around regards hours etc and finding out last minute about work next morning which is hard with a child in a Creche too! Also can be left waiting when I get in touch needing info. Haven't signed a contract , Garda vetting or anything yet. I emailed the other job this afternoon.. What can I say though without being too negative? Atm my hours are all over the place but the other job was full time so at least I know where I would be! Thanks

if you get the other one just tell the current place you got a better job offer, you haven't signed a contract.

Say it's not working out and leave and take the new job.

You can leave now with no notice AFAIK.

Thanks for your replies, I guess I wanted to make sure I wasn't bad doing that! The other position were disappointed when I said I was offered something else, she was asking if I would be happy there and if I was sure. Asked first if I could come in for a chat and when I said I accepted another position, said well we wanted to offer you a position when you came in!

No. If they thought it wasn't working out, they'd let you go without a second thought. You can do the same.

    And should given this:

Some good advice by Mrs O Bumble. In a lot of companies you are just a number and if they wanted to leave you go it would be done without a second thought. Look after number 1 and thats you.

The other company may not want you now as you turned them down. Bear it in mind when talking to them.
