I am trying to buy a t shirt on amazon but it says the seller does not ship to Ireland, i picked another item at random on amazon.uk and it says the same thing, I thought there was no problem with getting items shipped here from amazon.uk, anyone know a way around this?

Not all Amazon marketplace sellers ship to Ireland.

The way around it is to use Parcel Motel or AddressPal or (cant think of the name of the last one).

Youll have to pay for your parcel "staying" in the motel which is 3.95.

PM and PW provide a virtual address in NI which gives free UK delivery from a lot of UK sellers.
they then deliver it to you in the Republic.
Pm use a locker system. PW deliver to your door. Each charge a fee.each notify you of delivery.

You seem capable of using the internet. I suggest now is the time to put those skills to use.:)
I've used both . it depends whether you are at home for delivery or like an anytime pick up service.

Parcel Wizard is 10c cheaper, but is a different kind of service - they deliver to you at home/work/whatever address you give - whereas PM store it in a locker for you to pick up yourself. Up to you which suits best!

pw sounds more suited to me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,209 ✭✭✭maximoose

Yep, set up an account and go to "My virtual address"

Bottom of that page has the top up function and it's through paypal.

Would you like one of us to order the t-shirt for you, and then wear it for you when it arrives?

I find www.parcelconnect.ie good. Make your address, pick your local shop and pick up whatever you like at your local shop whenever you buy from the UK for only €4.50

a bit uncalled for OP, you have received lots of useful answers to your lazy questions, and when someone tells you to help yourself you call them an asshole..lovely.

well that was ass hole behavior, some people are not the best with technology, i asked some questions, if people want to answer they can, if not they can keep their condescending opinions to themselves, sometimes i find it best to ask people about these things rather than take what the company is saying themselves.

I'd avoid parcel motel. I've been caught twice with packages apparently never arriving.

This thread is like bottle feeding a baby. PM and PW are self explanatory, just look at the fecking website.

Its a nightmare to return items by the way if you get them sent to PM. You'll have to pay return postage, you're better off finding a seller who ships to Ireland.

Ok so the stufff didn't arrive. No apparently about it. Did you contact them about it?

Just checked my history, I've had 25 deliveries all successful.

Not rocket science for them to match names with existing registered users. What do they do with packages without PMID? How did you find out it was missing? Did you finally receive it?

For me, after the same item was posted twice by a seller with extremely good reviews and not received, I gave up on PM as a viable option. He probably concluded that I was trying to scam him.

Well I believe they received it but they lost it. PMID might have been missing from the first but certainly not from the second.

There should be an option to use the address as you entered it without taking the suggested address.

anyone know how long it usually takes to get items from amazon uk? ordered the t shirt through parcel wizard 24th of may, it still has not even reached parcel wizard in northern ireland yet, even though it shipped 25th of may.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,766 ✭✭✭RossieMan

That's to do with the seller, not PM.

Contact Amazon and see. It was a bank holiday last weekend in the UK.

In future you probably would be better sticking with amazon.

On the left of the screen under delivery options you can click " Free UK Delivery by Amazon" this will filter out items so show only what is usually available with free delivery to ireland if you are over £25, sometimes you can be a little under.

Just to get the free postage, your voucher was for £25 which conveniently is the limit.

Unless your t shirt was very particular you might have found the same or similar which might have qualified.

Some find PM or PW extra hassle let alone extra money.

ah that's just the way it goes i suppose, i just thought it would have reached northern ireland at this stage, i thought as it was sold on amazon uk, it was a british seller but iv no idea where it has to come from to get here. i think parcel wizard is a very good idea.

Sounds like you were scammed by the seller. I've had probably close to 100 successful orders with PM, even when the name is wrong on the order I'd get a call from them asking me is it mine.

The problem now is I'm getting an error saying amazon don't deliver to my PM addy, is anyone else getting this? It's like north addresses are blacklisted now?!?

I tried a few different ones, it's just a powerbank charger for my mobile so I'm not fussy, think I tried about 5 different ones, same problem today. This is stuff coming from the UK & some of it listed in prime. I need it next week so deliberately avoided stuff getting posted from china.

I am not sure about "prime", i.e. if it has rules, but with normal stuff the sellers can be dropshipping and so it could well be coming from outside the UK.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 196 ✭✭Drumorig

Ye I know that, ie dropshipping, I'm looking at stuff that says free uk shipping or prime, ie usually meaning it's in the uk. Any powerbank under £15 won't let me order to PM :-( Something is wrong.

As these contain batteries I would expect many will not ship to northern ireland.
