My elderly parents cannot get Saorview.

Is there a simple-to-use legal box that I can purchase in order to be able to stream RTE1, RTE2, TV3 and TG4?

    Thanks.

Don't know about streaming but unlikely to be a simple box. Have you considered SaorSat. This requires a special initial dish setup but no ongoing costs. However this only includes the RTÉ suite of channels and TG4, no TV3 or 3e.

A satellite dish is not an option either unfortunately. Streaming is the only option and I want a mainstream simple streaming solution. Cheers.

Is there somewhere in the country that does not get Saorview but gets sufficient internet speed for streaming?

What ISP? Could they look at Eir Vision or Vodafone TV? Not sure if you'll get a free, legal one.

Again, many such places would be in urban areas which would have strong signal that can be picked up by indoor aerials.

The answer to the OP's question is no, there is no such product.

Not in this day and age.

The Competition Authority sorted this messing a long time ago.

Signup to Aertv and you can use their app on an android box:

    http://www.aertv.ie/channels/

€6 a month it looks like it costs and that will give you all the saorview channels and also some of the main UK channels as well.

IBOX.IE will provide all the Irish and a few UK channels for €3 per month.

Edit. Also note the UTV provided is the Northern Ireland version, not UTV Ireland.
