I hope I get a chance to see this: Laurie's been a visionary musician and artist for well over 40 years now. If you're thinking "why would I watch a documentary about her dog?", well, that would be missing the point. Her dog will just the "way in" to a much wider exploration of life snd culture. Not that dogs aren't important to her - back in January she put on a free concert for dogs in Times Square. The trailer makes no explicit reference to the death of husband and collaborator Lou Reed, and the full documentary might not have any either, but he'll be there, in the background noise.

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.
