Terrified that I have a brain tumour?

I am 20 years old, for the past several weeks my eyesight has gotten a lot worse (I wore glasses for distance before this) I also have astigmatism. I went and got my eyes checked at the optician who said my astigmatism in right eye is alot worse and my vision had got worse so he gave me a stronger lens, since wearing this stronger lens for my eyes I have started getting what I think is double vision, or ghost vision anyway when I look at something anything there is a double of it above it. Now when I put my glasses (new lens) on the blurries and double vision goes away 99%.. upon noticing this and my blurred vision I went straight back to the optician who looked into the back of my eye and did numerous sight tests and says he sees no cause for concern but to keep an eye on it. I wasn't happy with this so I went to the accident and emergency room and told them the same thing, The medical doctor did reflex checks on arms legs etc, used a little light which he said tells him about the pressures in back of my head etc and that everything is good, i had also seen purple light in my peripheral vision which I hear is a sign of a tumour or pressure. I once again went to a different emergency room where the man did all the checks on my eye again and said he Isnt worried but he will send me to the outpatient opthamist on Monday morning. I have also had leg jerking for ages, I am beyond scared and heartbroken and having dark dark thoughts because I think I am terminally ill I am terrified!!! I love my family I am so scared i only have weeks to live, does this sound like a brain tumour? Why didn't they give me a brain scan? Help

If a scan needs to be done the opthamologist you are due to visit tomorrow will organise that, please please try not to jump to conclusions. It's not easy, i know since "dr google" will always point you at the worst case scenario. How about telling someone close about your appointment and maybe asking for some company today? Take care, i know it's a scary time..

No idea and I really don't think asking on Boards is the best way to get an accurate diagnoses.

Because they most likely don't think you need one because in their opinion they don't suspect a brain tumor! Good Luck with Monday's appointment.
