What C4 Grand Picasso version

We are looking at getting a bigger car for our growing family. Looking around I like the look of the C4 Grand Picasso, it gets decent reviews and appears to be fairly economical on fuel...

One question I have is in terms of legroom, at the moment we have a 09 Focus and when I'm driving and one of our kids is sitting in a child seat behind me, I cant put the seat fully back making for a slightly uncomfortable driving position for me - does anyone know what the situation is like in the C4?

Another question is about spec - what model should we be looking at? Budget is somewhat flexible, but around 20k for a 2013 and up model. I've been driving fairly basic models for years and I would finally like to have a car with *some* nice features!

    Thanks!

Legroom won't be a problem. We had one for a few years and there was acres of space.

Ours was a 120bhp vtr+, nice motor, very comfortable, manual change knocking out 50+mpg.

I'd say they're good for 100k miles and then everything started feeling loose and worn.

If you can afford it, the new generation (B78) is significantly bigger inside than the older one, but much lighter - which brings the consumption lower.

Peugeot 5008 - sister to the first C4 Grand Picasso - is an interesting option as well.

A friend has the Peugeot, it is an interesting option alright.

It has slightly firmer suspension, feels more engaged but more bumpy as well. Depends who likes what :)

I was going to mention that, my wife wasn't that taken with the drive - used those words about it being bumpy and very firm.
