I think my boyfriend has depression, he is always moody, he is often angry, he sleep too much and he is always tired. I asked to search for help, but he doesn't want. I wanted to help him, but if he doesn't want to get help there is nothing I can do. I would like to know if depression can last forever, or eventually will end. We have been in this situation several years and I think it is only getting worse. Also he is seem depressed all the time it is not cyclical. Maybe he has not depression, but another health issue?
    Is depression cyclical?

We are still in love with each other very much. My situation is not very easy because I have a rare form of muscular distrophy and it took me 7 years to get a diagnosis. In all the 7 years he has been by my side and he supported me very much. I don't know how I could have done all this without him. I am very frustrated that it seems that I can't help him in the same way he helped me. I tried to tell him that I think he has depression and he got angry. I think he is so moody because he has depression, but he has also this kind of personality. We are very different, he seems never happy about life and I am smiling all the time, also if now it is getting more hard because the disease has spread to the muscles of my face. I know my disorder is progressive I was just wondering if depression is too. Sometimes I think my health situation made things worse, but he had problems before I got sick, so it is not just related to my condition. I don't see a very nice future at the moment if we will be both sick :(
