Not a DIY issue, moved out to main forum.

    Location would help OP.

Last time we dropped our D5 XC60 in to a main dealer it was less than 200, and they collected and dropped back for that.

That was Smiths in Drogheda so I've no doubt there would be a South Dublin tax to add to that, but Volvo Main dealers might not be as bad as expected.

Price Spirit, Koping and worth checking with Scully auotcare on the north side. They used to have an ex. Volvo master tech there, but that was a good few years ago.

I usually get ours serviced in Spirit in Sandyford, but got the timing belt done a few months back out in Scully in Clontarf. Their Volvo guy is still there and I couldn't fault the work. €200 odd cheaper than the main dealer so was well worth the trip out.

How much did you pay for the timing belt change on your Volvo? The Volvo D5 engine is probably the easiest engine to do a timing belt on as there is minimal strip down work.

i get my v60 serviced by Brendan Pigeon motors between rathgar and rathmines, i've found the quality of their work good and value is top notch. a few times they've bailed me out with a flat and done the pick up and charged next to nothing for their time. i've often seen other volvos in for service there as well, they have all the computer link ups etc. good luck.

Hi All, can you suggest a good independent volvo mechanic near blanch? I visited some garages nearby and was quoted a lot. I need to do a DPF regen, replace all brake pads, replace battery, and replace ABS Sensor bearing on one wheel.
